The Walkers have been riding, training, and showing horses for over 30 years--specializing in working cow horses, cutting, and roping. They combine their love and appreciation of horses, years of experience, and tireless dedication to provide a safe, professional environment for their clients. The Walkers accept training for colt starting, working cow horses, reining horses, and ranch horses. Rehabilitation is also offered as well as exercising to maintain fitness. Horses in training with the Walkers are ridden or exercised daily and treated with respect and kindness.
Central Coast Boarding and Training offers training with two trainers: Mike Lund (former equine unit department head at California Polytechnic State University) and Grayson Vanoat. Mike starts, trains, and shows reined cow horses. He has a kind, gentle hand and is patient and very capable with lessons as well. Grayson, at only 20 years old, has gathered great references from other trainers in the industry and is now starting colts at Central Coast Boarding and training.
